HOW TO CARE
FOR YOUR ORIENTAL RUG
|
|
The inherent
qualities of wool make Oriental Rugs beautiful, durable and
easy to clean.
|
|
Aesthetics
|
| The beauty of
the wool rugs starts with the wool fiber; wool fiber absorbs dyes
into the central core of the fiber. This property of the wool
creates full, rich, color-fast colors. |
|
Durability
|
| Each wool fiber
contains a spiraling crimp which lets it stretch or compress and
then bounce back lika a miniature spring. This resilence helps
keep your rug looking great year after year. |
|
Cleanibility
|
| The surface of
each wool fiber is covered in a thin membrane of lanolin oil which
acts as moisture and soil repellent. This lanolin oil acts as
a natural "scotch guard" shield that protects the rug. |
|
| Daily
Cleaning : Vacuum the rug on a regular basis. Using
a vacuum with a better brush is not a problem, but please be careful
not to let the vacuum "eat" the fringe. At least once
a year vacuum the backside of the rug. This will insure the dirt
that has sifted to mthe foundation is removed. |
|
| Professional
Cleaning : A good quality rug may require a professional
cleaning every 3-5 years. |
|
| Spot
Cleaning & Stain Removal : Please refer to the
stain removal procedures included in this
package. |
|
| Rotation
: To ensure even wear and fading, we recommend that you rotate
your rug at least once a year. |
